Initial Interview

Assignment: Interview and Reflection Paper

Due: Third week of class
Grade: 5% of course grade

Instead of your discussion section this week, each of you will meet individually with your Teaching Assistant for a structured, 45-minute interview. Each interview will cover parts of the background, experience, and beliefs that you bring into this course. You will have a second structured interview at the end of the class during finals week.

The interviews will be recorded and transcribed, and we will code them to be able to pair the initial and final interviews accurately. However, we will remove your name and any identifying information. Your participation credit will be based on a one-page reflection of your interview experience due to your Teaching Assistant within three days of your interview.
